Eligibility, Education Qualification, Experience
- Trade Apprentice (Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist): Matriculation + ITI from NCVT/SCVT.
- Technician Apprentice (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation, etc.): Diploma in relevant engineering discipline with minimum 50% marks.
- Graduate Apprentice: Regular full-time graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% marks.
- Candidates with higher qualifications like BE, MBA, MCA, etc., are not eligible.
- Apprenticeship experience of more than 1 year after qualification disqualifies candidates.
Age Limit
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 24 years as of 30 September 2025
- Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and up to 10 years for PwBD as per rules.
Salary
- Graduate Apprentice: ₹4500 per month by BOAT and additional amount by IOCL.
- Technician Apprentice: ₹4000 per month by BOAT and additional amount by IOCL.
- Trade Apprentice: Full stipend paid by IOCL as per Apprentices Act
