Eligibility & Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science / Library Science from a recognized university
- Basic knowledge of computer applications as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 36 Years
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories, women, PwBD and ex-servicemen as per government rules
Salary / Pay Scale
- Fixed Pay: ₹26,000 per month for the first 5 years
- After completion of 5 years: Pay Matrix Level-4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100)

Part B (150 Marks)
- Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension – 30 Marks
- Subject Related Questions (Library Science) – 120 Marks
- Total Questions: 210
- Total Time: 3 Hours
- Negative Marking: 1/4 mark for each wrong answer
