Eligibility, Education Qualification & Experience

As per the official notification:

Educational Qualification

Candidate must have:

• Master of Social Work (Psychiatry) OR
• Master of Social Work (MSW) OR
• Master of Arts in Social Work
  (Degree from recognized universities under UGC Act)

Additionally:

• Basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules, 1967
• Knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both

Note: Final selection will consider all rules mentioned in the recruitment manual.

Age Limit (as on 05/12/2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 37 Years

Age Relaxation

As per government norms:

• Female (General): +5 years
• Male (Reserved): +5 years
• Female (Reserved): +10 years (up to 45 years max)
• PwD (General): +10 years (up to 45 years max)
• PwD (Female): +15 years (up to 45 years max)
• PwD (Reserved): +15 years
• PwD (Reserved Female): +20 years
• Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 years

Salary

• First 5 Years: Fixed pay ₹49,600 per month
• After 5 years, on satisfactory service:
  Pay Matrix Level-7: ₹39,900 – ₹1,26,600

Part-A (60 Marks)

• Reasoning Ability

Part-B (150 Marks)

• Constitution of India, Current Affairs
• Gujarati & English Comprehension
• Subject-related questions (Social Work & related subjects)

Total Questions: 210
Duration: 3 Hours
Negative Marking: ¼ mark for each wrong answer
Qualifying Marks:

• Part A: 40%
• Part B: 40%
